SapienStone kitchen countertops are enriched with the warmth of wood

2018-10-11

Eurocucina, held in Milan in April 2018, decreed the success of the trend toward mixing&matching different materials, colours and finishes in the same composition. The products on display included the craziest combinations of different textures and hues establishing today’s new styles and trends.

Wood, historically considered a material capable of creating an atmosphere of cosiness and domesticity in any space, is now used in combination with a variety of surfaces such as stone, marble and laminates, and has been proposed for covering components such as the worktop, as an accessory or item of furniture, contributing a sensation of cosiness and relaxation.

Constantly aware of trends in the sector, and animated by a spirit of innovation, SapienStone has once more demonstrated its receptivity to the demands of a market in search of distinctive, unique products.

At the 36th CERSAIE International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, the Iris Ceramica Group’s brand expanded its colour range with the presentation of two new finishes inspired by wood: darker Rovere Baio and lighter Rovere Buckskin, two textures faithfully reproducing the look and feel of warm, natural oak wood.

The new products fall in line with the trend of considering natural materials as the new must-have of interior design, but the SapienStone worktop offers all the benefits that the company’s advanced technological research has always offered for top-quality porcelain.

SapienStone Rovere Baio and Rovere Buckskin kitchen countertops bring the warm, comforting atmosphere of wood into the home, but with all the benefits of a high-tech material offering excellent performance in terms of durability and resistance to stains, scratches, blows and high temperatures, colour fastness, easy cleaning and hygiene.

SapienStone combines aesthetic refinement with technological research to faithfully reproduce materials found in nature.
The technical properties of the new Rovere collection combine perfectly with a surface in which the veins, warm hues, knots, and every little detail recall wood, the most natural of materials.

h The material not only looks like wood, it feels like it too: it has a subtly textured surface covered with an enamel created especially to ensure a feeling of softness to the touch.

This gives the kitchen an intimate, comfortable look without giving up practicality: SapienStone porcelain is a compact, non-porous material resistant to aggression of all kinds, which is particularly easy to maintain and gives off no emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

SapienStone at Cersaie 2018

At Cersaie 2018, SapienStone exhibited finishes inspired by wood in the Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti stand.

The Fiandre stand, on the other hand, contained a meeting table featuring one of the most beautiful dark surfaces in the marbles collection: Pietra Grey.

The tablewith its Pietra Grey worktop astounded visitors with its reduced thickness, only 12 mm, the intensity of its colour and the brilliance of its surfaces, which, no matter how dark, are effectively illuminated by subtle white veins.

SapienStone countertops dress up spaces with a bold, welcoming personality and can easily be incorporated into any kind of interior.

Cersaie 2018 confirmed the success of the two-year-old brand which continues to stand out on the kitchen countertop market for its ability to create worktops that meet high quality standards and yield surprising results, offering the perfect combination of technical performance and advanced design.
