Interview with Andreas Platzer - P&P Wohnprofis; Fügen

2018-04-13 We recently went to visit P&P Wohnprofis, our partner retailer in the town of Fügen.

We interviewed Andreas Platzer, the owner of the Austrian showroom, where visitors can admire a kitchen made entirely with Malm Black SapienStone countertops.

Hello, Andreas! Can you tell us a bit about you and your business?

After graduating in interior design in 2004, I decided to go into business and open my own showroom, P&P Wohnprofis in Fügen.
My work is an inexhaustible source of joy and satisfaction to me, and I consider every appointment a special challenge. Advising my customers and helping them make choices is a very important responsibility for me. And in fact our motto is “Satisfied customers are happy customers!”.

Our business involves creating 3D projects using the latest new computer programmes, as well as a technically advanced carpentry department that allows us to come up with customised solutions for our customers. Our talented carpenters give perfect form to projects of all kinds, making our customers’ dreams come true.

What are consumers normally looking for when they come to you in search of a kitchen countertop?

Our customers want a countertop that can serve two purposes: it must be not only beautiful, but practical and long-lasting too.

The kitchen is the room people spend the most time in, and the countertop comes into contact with different kinds of food every day. This is why it is so important for the countertop to withstand wear, so you can cut vegetables and other foods on it, and for it to be resistant to stains and acids.

What will the kitchen of the future be like?

We can quite safely claim that the kitchen has replaced the living room as the place where the family gets together. It is the most social part of the house!

And as digitalisation grows, I expect the kitchen of the future to be more and more intelligent: it will have to adapt and respond to consumers’ specific needs, helping them with everyday tasks often considered boring.

When did you become a SapienStone partner, and why?

We have been SapienStone partners for a year.
What convinced us to choose the product was definitely the quality of the materials used to make the countertops, as well as the vast range of available textures and colours, and of course the company’s non-stop professional assistance service.

What is the innovation and/or quality you most appreciate in SapienStone kitchen countertops?
SapienStone kitchen countertops offer everything a customer could want: porcelain countertops are non-absorbent, scratch-proof and resistant to high temperatures, chemicals and blows. All these qualities are very important in the kitchen.

It’s also easy to clean, making it perfectly hygienic, an additional benefit that is very important, especially for people who don’t want to spend a lot of time cleaning!

WHAT’S THE TOP?
What’s the top in the kitchen, for you?

At my house, the kitchen is where the whole family – six people – gets together. I like cooking and enjoying a great meal all together.

A good kitchen must make everyday tasks easy and eliminate everything superfluous in order to concentrate on the essential, combining design, practicality and ergonomics.
